Indian literature has definitely seen better days. We have had such great scholars in the past who have written epics like the Bhagwat Gita and Ramayana. We have had prolific writers like Premchand, and Rabindranath Tagore (who got the Nobel Prize for literature) gifting to the nation their wonderful texts. These people and their works were recognised worldwide and it was our nation that got acclaim because of them. Even up till recently we had wonderful people like Mulk Raj Anand, Khushwant ...
