Urban Dictionary defines IITs by saying that they are engineering colleges in India famous for producing world class engineers. It also goes on to add that one can find the country's biggest supply of nerds here. Ouch.
Before becoming a student here at IIT Delhi, the above definition was pretty much the only way I'd hear everyone describe IIT. Now, after over a year and a half, one thing I've learnt for sure is that the general image of the IITs definitely does not do them justice.
Now ...

Geese, bees and cheeps! Three words to describe the bird's park. It's not every day that you come across a University that houses animals and birds and also allotting a part of the college for them to breed. The sound of the monstrous engines roaring, the sound of rubber on asphalt and the smell of burning rubber. I twist my head towards the sound and managed to catch the glimpse of a Bentley zooming past me. I twist my head towards the other side to savour the elegant beast roaring past me, speeds in excess of 140km/h. I see a POLICE jeep posted nearby and policemen in it, staring at the car with ...

Delhi University is probably one of Delhi's most animal friendly location, with animals, dogs precisely, eating, dozing off, roaming about but rarely barking and doing all of their shenanigans at all popular Delhi University locales. The colleges are a safe haven for many of the dogs that often become students' everyday buddies to chat. A few weeks before, Hindu College was blessed by the birth of some five odd puppies and they are the talk of the college ever since they came into the public ...

Enjoying movies comfortably at multiplexes is not very cheap; one has to pay a good amount of money and though the rates are already high, the government had earlier decided to increase the entertainment tax on multiplexes which would have caused a hike in the prices of tickets.
The State revenue department has now decided to pull out this decision of ...

Q. Does the tough 21.1km race distance not deserve a better name than being called a "half-marathon"?
There is certainly merit in this as the accomplishment of running of 21.1 km should not be diminished by describing it as "only half" of something else. Running statistics reflect that, worldwide, the largest segment of runners opt for the 21.1 km race distance. This makes for a strong case for branding this distance, and has been discussed in several running circles.
And possibly an ...
